FCL (Full Container Load) reserves an entire container exclusively for your goods, minimizing risk of damage and offering faster port handling. LCL (Less than Container Load) consolidates cargo from multiple shippers into one container, making it ideal for smaller shipments under 15 CBM where paying for a full container is not cost-effective.
An FMC-licensed ocean transportation intermediary operates under strict U.S. Federal Maritime Commission bonding requirements, legal accountability, published tariffs, and industry standards, protecting cargo owners against illegal price markups, fraud, and carrier disputes.
International sea freight requires a Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Ocean Bill of Lading (or Express Release Waybill), and Certificate of Origin. For U.S.-bound ocean freight, an Importer Security Filing (ISF) must be transmitted to U.S. Customs at least 24 hours prior to cargo loading at the foreign port.
